Raven Studios  Long Weapons Jian/Gim Dao Long Weapons Bot Jaam Do    LONG WEAPONS Raven Studios training weapons are designed to withstand the rigors of free-sparring and are also well suited for forms and solo technique practice. I feel it is important that each training weapon mimic a real weapons performance and feel as closely as possible, therefore these hardwood training weapons are constructed with the following qualities: Blades are made from hickory (Information about hardwood) and have a rounded edge for durability. The Tang is 10" to 12" long and is laminated and riveted to the handle. Handles are made from two pieces of wood laminated together for maximum strength and to help prevent warping. All weapons are finished with a linseed and tung oil blend which penetrates into the wood to create a tough and durable surface.
